Actually, this is not a technical bug, but a usability issue in Calligra: Those
buttons are not for creating new documents, but for showing existing documents
of that type. If there are no documents of the selected type on your device,
nothing happens.
I only understood what those buttons do when I asked the developer about them.
Big usability problem, but the buttons "work as designed"
