Okay, now I get it, thanks for the clarification :)
Plasma Desktop might benefit from your work as well then, since the
re-indexing all the time is annoying there as well, although much less
so then on a tablet, of course.

Yes, the performance is pretty smooth after the indexing. And the UX
overall is awesome! But when you boot your device and your stuff just
isn't there but you don't know why it isn't, it feels broken.
And I fear that PAs reputation might be less good than it deserves
because users can be sensitive about such stuff. I always have "K wie
kaputt" (= 'K' as in 'broken') ringing in my ears which I heard from
several people and which really really saddens me, knowing how great KDE
is otherwise.

Sounds great! I'd be glad if we could get some of the really annoying
things fixed even before PA2 so people won't get frustrated before PA2
is out.
