RFC: open the spinner directly on touch point

that couls be a nice compromise,
i did put the spinner full screen exactly for the repeated tap issues (and yes 
they even happened with the full screen version ;)

now the spinner in the bottom of the screen is exactly the invisible gorilla i 
posted about some days ago ;)

having it appearing at cursor position, so where the user attention is, -
maybe- can fix things a bit
