Cool, thanks. The information about GTK apps is helpful. I'm trying to get a
sense of whether the problem might be caused by the Plasma clipboard system, or
by the KTextEditor framework (which is used by KWrite, Kate, and
KDevelop--hence my question). It would also be nice to know if it happens in
any other KDE apps, like Okular, Gwenview, or Konsole.
