Equipment: Dell m1330, Kubuntu 8.10, KDE 4.1, nvidia 177 drivers, with dreadful
broadcom drivers, to boot.

Just experienced the same "keyboard disconnect" as the other posters (it's
happened 3 or 4 times). Mouse works, everything is responsive, hitting
capslock/numlock/etc. causes keyboard light to toggle, and I can still get to
the virtual terminals at F1, F2, etc. I'm not positive, but I also suspect that
the issue occurs during alt-tabbing.

After waiting anywhere from 5-10 minutes, the keyboard magically starts working
again.

My thanks go to any devs actively working on this -- this is a really
frustrating issue and I can't wait for it to be resolved.
