I have attempted several times to do the click thing you describe, Chani, but
right clicking anywhere just resizes the window.  The only way I've found to
break out of it is a log-out and log back in.  Restarting kded4 releases the
keyboard lock, but then we lose all shortcuts (alt-tab, F keys...)
