A work around could be to using package `rio`,
>From menu "file -> import" -> "format of importation" -> "Generic
importation (based on rio)"
(This names may not be the exactly right, I'ḿ using the spanish translated
version).
Just tick the option "import a list with all data sets" to get the three
sheets.
This is what I use to import Excel files.
I've used Java with the package "XLConnect" but some versions of Java won't
work. It has nice features though.
Regards.
Alfonso
