For my small laptop screen 15.6", I use small font size of 9pt and that title
looks really big and stand a lot in the GUI. And it's position (centered
directly at the top of each tab) is enough to make it stands without making it
bigger in size.

That's why I said the old design was better because to identify the role of a
tab you only look at the icon together with its text in each tab header, but
for know you need to look first at the icon in tab header then click on it and
then read the title to know what's the role of tab.

It' more practical and common in all known pdf viewers to have hide button in
the sidebar that quickly hides the whole sidebar to the left side or simply to
have a close button that remove it completely.
And quick hide is more practical to gain more horizontal space while opening
and reading different pdfs rather than redesigning the whole sidebar to push
all GUI text on vertical space.

It' been a year that I started using Manjaro after getting frustrated for more
than 6 years with Ubuntu upgrades, and Okular was there from first install.
