Thanks for the reminder; I've started looking into it, but it looks like
magic for now to me. I've filed a bug report so the bug will not be
forgotten:

In theory everything should work while in practice I do not know why is it
not working... Because I cannot even estimate how much time would it take
to fix, I will just postpone the issue until after KF5.

About manuals: did you know that there are user manuals in pdf format for
ktechlab? They are available on the sourceforge.net project:
