pushed fixes to master, only item editor needs some fixes

Hi,

I've pushed some fixes to git master. With these fixes, most of KTechlab's
functionalities should be the same as in version 0.40.0; only the item
editor / property editor needs some more fixes.
When the item editor looks decent enough, then in my opinion the code will
be good enough for a new release. Thus, feel free to test and report
anything that does not work properly.
