As an opensource developer & also an automatician , i would add a
support for automation & smart relay ( industrial usage & domotic ).
Most of smart relay use 8bits controllers like AVR. Most of time , they
use a dedicated software that provide a graphical language ( ladder ,
fbd , VI ) ... Like the flowcode , they help non-coder to create
software. My favorite way is the FBD one ( FBD = functional block
diagramm). As far as i know , there is no such software in open source.
If you're interessting , i would like implement a fbd implementation
like crouzet provides with their millenium automation .

This king of software could be test with wine ( 0.9.19 works fine for
me , first time , go to file -> preferences -> work directory and remove
"Users/" before try a new projet or file )

or/and look this review :
review : http://www.underthepier.com/21_intelligent_relay.htm .
Also interessting , a paper of my professor Alain Chatenay :

I actually try to develop a first implementation of the FBD , based on
flowcode ( i'll generate some microbe code ). Next , it could be great
to develop a firmware ( or look at some opensource ) with realtime
support in C avionic.
