What is the perspective used and shown in Kstars?

Hello. May it be a blessed Ramadan to you all and happy fiesta.
Now, what is the perspective used and shown in kstars desktop application?
What I really want is to understand what my position is with respect to the
map. Am I inside the sphere displayed in kstars? Am I outside it? Or is it
how things would appear if I looked through a telescope? I am always
confused. My confusion will disappear if my position simulates my real
standing up and I look at the sky, I mean the everyday natural way.
