Unfortunately, I have no idea how the appimage server decides how many 
past versions to keep making available.

-n tells kmymoney not to read any data file.  It's not just the 
"configuration" missing, it's any data at all.  Once it comes up like 
that, do File/Open Recent, and select your data file.  If it hangs while 
loading your data, then there is a problem in your data, and we have to 
figure out what the problem is.
