I think Antoine has found the best solution

html is a cleaner and easier format to "hack" than pdf
I didn't try the firefox addons, but this process works perfectly for me:

- save the bank webpage view of the account to local computer (right
click in browser, save as)
- open the html file in some text editor (preferably one that recognizes
code)
- find the table section starting with the tag <table ...>
- delete everything except what lies between the tags <table ...> and
</table> and save with new name
- in a spreadsheet program open this html file
- voila, adjust the column widths and there is the table
- save as csv

I used kate as text editor and libre calc for spreadsheet but I guess
most similar programs would work
