I'll check out craft. I'm guessing I'll need minGW as well.  If I fail,
I'll go ahead with the 5.0.6 version from the kmymoney site.

I do need to move to win64 though. I just recently figured out a
workaround for an application that only worked correctly on win32.
Unfortunately, said machine is running windows on raw hardware and
I'll need to keep it that way since it's used by a non-techie.
