*Update*: Our power is *finally* back!

We had to leave our house yesterday because it was getting dangerously cold
for people and kittens.
(I also scalded the hell out of my hand trying to fill up hot water bottles
in the dark, but that's another story... I"m mostly fine.)

There's a huge number of downed trees all over the place, so we're lucky
that our stuff wasn't damaged. Some people are still without power

Unfortunately we're expecting freezing rain tonight, but the temps are
coming up a bit and the worst of it is hopefully over, especially if our
power stays.

But anyway, we're safe and back home now and things are gradually heating
up.
