  It's not even there. I co-maintain the KF5 and Applications packages in openSUSE and I would refuse outright such patches downstream (also, there are no bug reports downstream either on these possible issues).  For the rest, what @heikobecker said is spot on. We don't want extra maintenance to fix *one* edge case.
