[FreeNX-kNX] NX disappears after starting

Details button shows no errors:

In my ~/.nx/.../errors it's a bit more interesting:
at the very end,
xrdb: Connection refused
xrdb: Can't open display :2001
88 (gnome-session:16362): WARNING *: Cannot open display:
Loop: WARNING! Connected to remote version 3.5.0 with local version 3.3.0
...

Not sure if any of that is significant

Finally, nxserver.log  gives
NX> 1004 Error: NX Agent exited with status 1. To troubleshoot set
SESSION_LOG_CLEAN=0...
You might also try ssh -X mysrever...
NX> 1006 Session status: closed
server_nxnode_echo: NX> 596 Session startup failed
nxnode_reader: NX> 1001 Bye
