Yup

Not much (without knowing what NXPlayer is expecting)

NXPlayer is development software, with backwards compatibility
a lower priority than v4.

I think your best bet is to look at the various preview
releases to see if one works,
or
see how Fritz Elfert is getting on with finding an OSX machine to
get opennx for OSX compiled and working . . .
