What is our SoftAWERE Hackathon all about?

Learn a new approach to measuring the energy use and environmental 
impact of software applications, and specifically how to embed those 
measurements into continuous integration and delivery processes. We will 
share our open-source tooling, our calculation methodology, as well as a 
Gitlab runner that is 'environmental impact' aware to make vital 
improvements that will ultimately benefit everyone.

Who is participating?

You can join as an individual or a team, bringing either your own 
project that you want to improve during the event or select one at the 
event. The Hackathon will be fully hybrid and all in-person 
presentations will be live-streamed to remote participants.

What is the aim?

The teams who realize the highest improvements in energy use for an 
open-source tool, library, or project will have the chance to win up to 
€1,700 in prize money.

Where is it happening?

Start-up-Hub Spielfeld in der Skalitzer Str. 85/86, 10997 Berlin, or 
join virtually! Food and drinks will be provided.

When does it start?
