Problems reading geo-info from .xmp files in Digikam 8.0.0

Hello everyone,
I'm having problems reading geo-tag from .xmp sidecar files in Digikam
8.0.0. Previously, it worked fine, but since I updated to 8.0.0 it doesn't
work anymore.
I'm running on Windows 10.
Any ideas?
