Hey everyone,
just wanted to give a quick report on yesterday's general meeting.
The meeting took place on chat.wikitolearn.org, in the #meeting-room
channel. Future meetings will also be held there.
We are all working really hard for WikiToLearn 1.0, which we plan to
release in the next few (probably 2) weeks.
First of all was discussed the status of the communication channels.
After a long discussion we decided to use ML only for announcement and
for sending out reports (more on this later in this mail).
Official discussions and planning will take place on
chat.wikitolearn.org, which allow us to be more focused. In the next
few days/weeks we will move most of the Telegram Groups to
chat.wikitolern.org but we decided to keep a few Telegram groups (one
for each language) for quick issues and quick messaging. New users
will be invited to join chat.wikitolearn.org instead of Telegram.
Of couse if you want to write in the ML you are free to do so, but we
much prefer the other mentioned means.
We felt that in the past communication was a bit lacking, especially
on the outside so we decided to develop a new communication plan which
will involve periodic reports on the status of the project. To create
this reports each team will have to get in touch with the promo team
and send a little recap of what got done. Support for this kind of
reports will come in the next weeks.
As said above, we are still working for releasing 1.0 which will bring
many new features and improvement to the website. We want to have
something usable for the end of September, since October is a pretty
important month (Start of University lessons, an hackatron/editatron
planned in India)
Also we are trying to get it touch with some other academical
institutions, more news soon!
Since I want to keep this short, more details can be found here:

Have a good day!
Cristian
