Dear Riccardo and dear all,
very good and interesting news!!
Glad to hear that we are growing well :-)
As you said, please let us know something about places, times, of everything when you will have more news (for example, I would like to participate to the TEDx talk in Milan but, as you can imagine, it could be difficult to me).
Otherwise, I will give you my remote support!
Best,
Davide

Subject: [WikiToLearn] news of the day...
Hi all!
news of the day:
1) the TEDx talk in Milan is confirmed. The date is still to be set, I'll let
you know as soon as I know more.
2) I had an interview about WikiToLearn at Radio Cusano, here is the podcast
(in Italian) in case you missed it: http://www.radiocusanocampus.it/podcast?
prog=488&dl=5357
3) today at CERN I had a long chat with Maria Grazia Pia (who sits in the
board of Geant4, the most important Monte Carlo simulation toolkit in
physics). Maria Grazia liked a lot WikiToLearn and it is going to use it as
platform for her material. Why is this interesting? Because she participates
in a few important summer schools, which usually have great success, and most
importantly, she is deeply involved with IEEE. IEEE is currently looking for
creating/participating on a training platform such as ours, and even if it’s
going to take a while to move such a gigantic organization, there are very
concrete possibilities that they will support us. More on this soon...
She also promised me she will spread the word about WikiToLearn in the Genova
University and INFN, and we already identified some pretty nice content...
4) had a conference call with the KDE board, we discussed about several
fundraising opportunities for WikiToLearn (crowdfunding/h2020), and how to
better integrate the KDE community with ours. A proposal was to host a sprint
together with KDE EDU so that we can get to know each other better and start
to really work together - when, where and how are still to be decided too, I
am waiting for a proposal from Aleix.
5) with the promo team we’re designing an a4 poster to be exposed in various
locations at CERN for a physical “advertisement campaign”...
that is all, it was another long day :-)
Bye,
-Riccardo
