As for image and text files: Konqueror does know that a link is opened since
the Location bar reflects the URL change. At that point it could switch to the
appropriate kpart. I don't know if that's feasible and/or desirable.

Actually if I press Refresh when a text/image file is opened, it switches to
the appropriate kpart.
