I cannot duplicate this... I see everything just fine. See attached screenshot.
BTW, what is the Arch Linux package version for kwebkitpart you are using ?
Perhaps you are not upto date ?

Also note that I am currently using QtWebKit 2.1 which is even more recent than
the version that will come with Qt 4.7, but since you stated that this works
fine in reKonq, then QtWebKit version should not matter. Both reKonq and
kwebkitpart are based on kdewebkit.
