Unfortunately, the workaround I had in mind does not work ; so please report
this issue upstreamL http://webkit.org/new-qtwebkit-bug.

I can already confirm to you that the problem does not exist in QtWebKit 2.1
which is the next stable version. QtWebKit 2.0 was the one released as part of
Qt 4.7.
