The webkitpart is not part of the KDE release schedule since it is in the
playground module. In other words, it is not yet ready to be part of the
release cycle so unfortunately there is no "is the fix in KDE 4.x.x" version,
but from your description it seems that the version of webkitpart included in
your distro is a very old one because the behavior you describe is exactly how
things used to be. Perhaps you can check the unstable repo of your distro for a
more upto date version ?
