Also tested my fresh profile with wayland now (had to install
plasma-workspace-wayland first)
On ESC instead of removing the password prompt, the whole screen goes black.

But on waiting for about 10 seconds, the password-prompt times out and fades
away to show the background, if I brought it up by pressing Shift. Activating
the password-prompt with a mouse move, I see it fade after 10 seconds and
reappear for a second timer, to finally be removed after ~20 seconds total. So,
yes, the bug also exists in a kwin-wayland session.

Now that I tried, the timed behavior is the same in X11 - Shift -> 1 fade after
10 seconds & mouse move 2 fades after 10 and 20 seconds.
