Thank you for your response. As in bug #480495 (which I reported also). Yes,
the icon area is completely blank also. I have reported this to the Mesa
developers here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/10523

Please do let me know if there may be anymore information which could be useful
to you about this situation. The hardware is becoming older so I am not certain
that it will be looked into.
