Bug ID: 492267
Summary: Manually selecting a colour scheme while using a
custom/wallpaper accent colour should give the option
of respecting the global accent colour
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version: 6.1.4
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Theme - Breeze
Assignee: plasma-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: hazelnot at mailbox.org
CC: visual-design at kde.org
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
Manually selecting a colour scheme in some (most?) Qt apps will use the accent
colour of the colour scheme in every circumstance. I assume this is intended
behaviour, but it would be nice if there was the option to maintain your global
accent colour across colour schemes.
The issue is that I tend to want most apps to use light mode, while others like
Krita and Kdenlive I would like to use dark mode. Setting the colour scheme in
the apps to Breeze Dark however ignores my accent colour and reverts to the
default blue, creating inconsistency in the UI.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch any app that supports changing the colour scheme
2. Change colour scheme to anything other than "Default"
OBSERVED RESULT
The accent colour is reset to the colour scheme's default
EXPECTED RESULT
My custom accent colour to be (optionally) retained across colour schemes
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
