In that case, Plasma 5.24 is a further regression from Plasma 5.18.8. Nate has
declared we should continue the conversation from bug 439604 here, since Plasma
5.18.x is no longer supported. However, I haven't yet had to click to gain
password input focus.

Looks like I won't encounter Plasma 5.24 until the next Kubuntu LTS scheduled
in a couple of months from time of writing. I am also still on X11, and as
stated previously, using both single and dual monitor configurations on at
least three separate PCs with default Kubuntu theme which I think is mostly
based on the default KDE Breeze theme.
