This would imply a packaging issue, with some files not being fully updated.
Perhaps reinstalling plasma-workspace would help? Or applying today's Plasma
5.24.1 update?

Also, let's not confuse ourselves here; this bug report is about the lock
screen, not the login screen; they are different. If any of you experience that
both exhibit the bug, we need a new bug report for that.
