Hello all,

First of all, thank you for your sustained contributions and participation
in the VDG team in 2020. It was rough year, to say the least, yet our team
remained strong. We are proud of your participation and insight. We are
happy to see that there is willingness to do good even in the midst of all
the bad.

We recently received feedback on our merge requests approvals process, and
how non-standard they seem to be across our development process in the VDG.
It is important to think critically of our ability to process merge
requests and make decisions on their acceptance and implementation. This
calls for further review from our team.

We will hold our monthly VDG meeting on 15 January, 2021 at 15:00 UTC.

This meeting will be directed at brainstorming, proposing and filtering
ideas about how the VDG should approach its merge requests approval
process. We humbly ask for your participation. If you have a good idea on
how to manage this process, please reply to this email and we can include
it in our agenda for the meeting. You can also reach out to our team
members through Telegram at https://t.me/vdgmainroom .

This is an important meeting by all accounts. It will signal to the public
our desire to have clear guidelines for managing our development output. It
can also bring confidence to new developers looking to contribute to the
project and could potentially attract new development. For our long time
contributors, it will streamline their development output. For the larger
KDE project, it will also bring a more predictable process for new features
and polish for the overall system.

Please reserve the time to attend, we will be happy to hear from you.
