Hmm, I don't think this request makes sense. While I'm not thrilled with Kate's
Breeze icon in general, a black page would be totally out of place and destroy
the visual imagery (you don't write on black paper). It would also look reallty
weird because even with a light icon theme, most app icons are not dark or
black. I don't think we could do that, sorry.
What we could maybe do is increase the edge contrast so it stands out against
white background better, and I think we'd be willing to do this when the icon
gets redesigned (see https://phabricator.kde.org/T10243).
