Good point, we don't want the worlds to see us as flip-flopping.
However, Plasma 5.8, as the first LTS, is supposed to be "This is what we agreed 
upon, this is the result of our experimentation."
Changing the category as well as the shutdown options icons to colored ones was 
a decision made by one person, and when the whole group looked at them again we 
found that the monochromatic ones made more sense to us.
Therefore, it feels much more comfortable for us to have it changed back to 
monochrome and /then stick with that/ than having to stick with a style we don't 
like just for the sake of sticking with something.
