We tried that approach some releases back, and... it didn't work very well, but
may be we can revisit it again (probably some bugs fixed in the meantime).

As for freshness, the copies are refreshed whenever plasma-workspace is
rebuilt, so the likelihood of it being outdated is small (or impossible).
