Hi everyone,
Jens and I have decided to move the VDG sprint from a separate sprint to the
already joint sprint by WikiToLearn, KDE Edu, Plasma and general
Wiki/documentation groups from March 07 to 13 at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland).
You can find the info at https://sprints.kde.org/sprint/291
This has several benefits, for example:
- We can directly help the other teams that are present with any design issues
they have, and the Plasma guys there can directly give us feedback on design
ideas we produce
- We show WikiToLearn that the VDG is happy to help non-desktop projects as
well
- We don't have to do the administration alone
This doesn't mean that we'll be spending the whole sprint designing for the
other projects there, of course. We can still take as much time as we want to
focus on VDG-internal topics.
I hope that everyone who would have been able to participate in the VDG sprint
in February in Berlin will be able to make it to Geneve in March as well.
Riccardo needs to know by Monday (December 14) to know (as precisely as
possible) how many from the VDG will join so he can reserve rooms at the
hostel, so if you want to stay at the hostel with the rest of the
participants, please either sign up directly above or tell me or Jens that
you'll be there.
Looking forward to a great sprint,
Thomas
