Thanks for the bug report. This sounds like an application specific or
packaging issue that needs to be addressed by Fedora. 
The fact that the bug happens with the COSMIC desktop says the issue is not
with the desktop environment, but with the packaging.

I recommend filing a bug with Fedora about this, if there isn't one already.
