Came to report this issue has been resolved, but just figured out it has only
partly been resolved. 

Konsole now looks to be updating correctly though I still sometimes see it one
frame behind. But it's not as bad as before. 

What is now still one frame behind is the start menu. 

If you hover your mouse over say `Utilities` it will highlight. But if you move
up to `System` it will not highlight until the mouse moves to `Settings`. Seems
to be consistently a frame behind. 

But at least Konsole is mainly being refreshed correctly so there is that.
