kickoff behaviour
Dear maintainers,
on my laptop DELL Latitude 5400 and Debian/trixie I got into a strange
behaviour with the application launcher. Please let me shortly describe the
steps:
1. When clicking on the icon in the taskbar, the menu with the categories pops
up.
2. Then, when I hover with the mouse to, the submenus open, but as soon as I
hover with the mousepointer to an application, the submenu closes. Thus I can
not chose any application to start.
3. When staying with the mousepointer over a category and do nothing, then the
mousepointer is blinking (about every 3 seconds), the submenu pops up, then
disappears and reappears. (see attached video)
-----
What I did so far and informations:
1. Checked every settings in systemsettings. Nothing unusual.
2. Reinstalled every package = no success
3. Removed external mouse and dongle = no success (please note, this is a
laptop, so the touchpad is can not be disconnected)
4. Checked for any unusual mouseinput = nothing unusual
5. This is running X11, not Wayland.
6. My desktop computer with the same package versions is not showing this issue
(other hardware).
7. Tested my hardware with a livefile-system = no suspicious things seen
8. This weired could only be seen on the application launcher, not on started
apps.
9. This issue appears on every application launcher = on every alternative
I hope this helps a little bit. It would be nice, if you could take a look at
it,
Thank you very much for your help and efforts.
Best regards
Hans
