Wacky is trying to fix it downstream, and given the comments on its removal it
appears too annoying to figure out myself currently. 
Perhaps ping WackyIdeas about it, as iirc he's in VDG Chat...? and has multiple
other things pending for MR creations upstream such as a Passive Busy Cursor
Launch Feedback Desktop Effect, reorganisable System Tray icons, etc.
