I've noticed that this issue only occurs for me if I enter the password instead
of fingerprint to authenticate.

In fact I first notice this problem because my finger print stopped working
properly but I didn't realise it had anything to do with it. Now I have
rerecorded my fingers so that finger print reading works reliably again and
then when trying to the open as administrator in dolphin it works well when
authenticating with my finger but I can reproduce this issue when
authenticating by entering my password.
