            Bug ID: 489190
Summary: Spectacle and KDE 6.1 (fake) session restore
                    interaction
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: eleung at abcfinreg.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If you have Spectacle opened before you shut down, the fake session restore
introduced in KDE 6.1 will open it for you automatically during the next boot,
causing the screen to freeze and dim if you are using rectangular capture by
default with Spectacle. This happens on Fedora KDE 40.
(I posted this in r/kde and was told to submit a bug report)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Spectacle to use Rectangular Region capture as default
2. Open Spectacle
3. Reboot the machine (or whatever method that triggers the session restore)

OBSERVED RESULT
Screen freezes and dims after login as Spectacle waits for user input

EXPECTED RESULT
No such behavior. Maybe blacklisting Spectacle from session restore by default?
