SUMMARY
When playing a video in VLC with the output set to automatic (in Wayland), it
jumps backwards two or three times a seconds for just an instant. This results
in a flickering effect.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use Wayland.
2. Have VLC media player.
3. Play a video with VLC.

OBSERVED RESULT
The video stammers.

EXPECTED RESULT
The video plays continuously.
