Reproduces for me in some cases

Fonts: Liberation Sans, DejaVu Sans, Droid Sans (did not test more); changed
text "©®™":
works as expected, text changes.

Some emoji font: Android Emoji, Emoji One, Noto Color Emoji, Noto Emoji (did
not test more); changed text same:
does not work as expected, text does not change despite this characters are
shown among others in preview (so the font has them).

Font Viewer: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks: 6.9.0
Qt: Using 6.8.1 and built against 6.8.1
Fedora Linux 41 (Workstation Edition) (Xcb)
