ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The behaviour was correct until the latest update of libmtp9-1.1.22 or
libmtp-dev-1.1.22, on November 14th. Rolling back to 1.1.21-5 fixes it.
The USB device is a custome device, it is not player device but exposes the
filesystem using mtp (umtpresponder precisely). it works fine on Windows 11
(with proper drivers) and on linux before libmtp 1.1.22.
