            Bug ID: 496959
Summary: System freezes when trying to switch User after
                    Autologin
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: nodscher at icloud.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The System Completely Freezes (Display Output stuck, No switching ttys. no
Caps/Numlock, no ctrl-alt-delete, requires hard reboot) when trying to switch
User (via kscreenlocker or the start menu) when initial login was via sddm
autologin. It works completely fine with autologin disabled or when login out
and in again first.

journalctl show these significant seeming (at least to me) logs:
sddm[849]: Auth: sddm-helper exited with 5
sddm-helper[2259]: Failed to take control of "/dev/tty1" ("username"):
Operation not permitted

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable Autologin
2. Try to switch user

OBSERVED RESULT
Crashes Everything

EXPECTED RESULT
No crash
