If you're experiencing issues with apps not working on Windows 11, here are
some general troubleshooting steps you can follow:
1. Restart Your Computer
Sometimes a simple restart can resolve issues with apps that aren’t working
properly.
2. Check for Windows Updates
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Make sure your system
is up to date with the latest patches and updates.
3. Update the App
Check if there's an update available for the app that isn’t working. You
can usually do this through the Microsoft Store or the app’s own settings.
4. Run the App Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Windows
Store Apps. Run the troubleshooter to see if it can detect and fix the issue.
5. Reinstall the App
Uninstall the problematic app and then reinstall it. This can often resolve
issues caused by corrupted files.
6. Check App Permissions
Go to Settings > Privacy & security > App permissions. Ensure the app has
the necessary permissions to function correctly.
7. Check for Compatibility Issues
Right-click on the app's shortcut, select Properties, then go to the
Compatibility tab. You can try running the app in compatibility mode for
Windows 10 or another previous version of Windows.
8. Reset the App
Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find the app in the list, click on
it, and select Advanced options. Then, click Reset. This will reset the app to
its default settings without affecting your data.
9. Check for Corrupted System Files
Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command: sfc
/scannow. This will scan and repair any corrupted system files that might be
causing the issue.
