Bug ID: 475332
Summary: DAV Groupware configuration wizard always says
connected successfully even tough system is offline
Classification: I don't know
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: Flatpak
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: maileen at geisler.cool
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
***
The DAV Groupware configuration wizard always says 'connected successfully'
even though system is offline. I tested this on fresh installs, live systems
from USB and my main PC in airplane mode. Tested under Plasma and gnome under
fedora 38 and 39-beta and with different app versions (from 5.22 to 5.24)
including flatpack and rpm installs. Even says its connected if i input
complete gibberish, also doesn't matter which service (nextcloud, owncloud,
etc.).
***
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any app that uses this wizard (Kontact, KOrganizer, etc.)
2. Right-click and select add Calendar (or add address book, etc.)
3. Go trough the wizard (seemingly doesn't matter what you actually type into
all fields)
4. On the test Connection page click 'Test Connection'
OBSERVED RESULT
Gives result 'Connected successfully', even though its probably not connected
to the server.
EXPECTED RESULT
Shouldn't say 'Connected successfully' because Machine is offline and/or i
inputted complete nonsense, should only say 'Connected successfully' when all
inputted information is actually correct and a connection to the server could
be established.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 38 and 39-beta
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27
KDE Frameworks Version: Version 5.110.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10 (built against 5.15.10) and 5.15.8
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Wizard still doesn't work for me even when i try to input correct info on an
connected system (it never had)
