If you mash the keyboard modifier keys and then try again, does it work?

If not, can you please reboot, reproduce the problem, and then paste the output
of running `journalctl -b 0 --user-unit=plasma-plasmashell.service --no-pager`
in a terminal window? If the text is really long, please attach it as a file.
